Reindeer Hair
By: Amberly Asay
It's ugly sweater season, but what could be better than accompanying that sweater with a great hair style! Reindeer hair is easy to do and will have people laughing at it's originality. I did it sitting at my computer, I didn't even use a mirror once! That is how simple it is.
Simply put your hair in a bun, place a red pom pom (by sticking it with a bobby pin) in the center of the bun. Get some pipe cleaners and make some antlers and stick them inside of your bun.
The next thing, make some eyes (I made mine out of paper) and stick them to some bobby pins. Place the bobby pins in your hair and then you are done!

Christmas Date
By: Amberly Asay
Sometimes the holidays have a big toll on our lives. It is easy to get so busy that we forget to FOCUS and take in what this season is all about. We suggest putting your busy holiday preparations aside and spending sometime with the people you love.

- Build a snowman
- Say "Merry Christmas" to passers-by
- Decorate gingerbread houses
- Bake and deliver sugar cookies
- Go ice skating!
- Look at Christmas lights
- Volunteer at a soup kitchen
- Visit Santa Claus
- Find a Christmas concert
- Go Window Shopping
- Go for a walk along a snowy hiking trail (not by yourself and not in the dark)
- Restore romantic frivolity to your home (or apartment) by hanging mistletoe in a doorway and handing out kisses (chocolate of course) as people pass by under it.

Christmas Gifts for Him
Shopping for a boy during the Holidays can be extremely stressful. The boy doesn't even have to be a significant other; a father, brother, best friend, grandfather are all difficult to shop for. Everyone has different tastes and likes and finding the perfect gift can be somewhat challenging. Don't worry, we have gathered a few ideas for the perfect gift.
1. Bacon Tie
Men usually receive ties as gifts because they are easy, and make them look so good! I suggest breaking the norm and get him a bacon tie. Every man likes bacon and it will for sure become his new favorite.
2. Make a YouTube Video
With all the access we have to technology, there is no reason why anyone can't learn to make a
YouTube video. You can make a video with pictures of the two of you, accompanied with video clips and special songs. You could even film yourself doing something creative for him, like writing "I love you" in the snow or sand.
3. Picture Collage
Put together a collage of pictures with you and the special man in your life. If you are making this gift for a father, or a brother, you can include pictures with family members or perhaps their favorite sports team. You can put this collage together with glue and a picture frame, or you can order it from a photo website on one large sheet.
I mean, it worked for Desiree on the Bachelorette. You don't have to be a published author or a rockstar to write a sweet/heartfelt poem or song for that special person. If you write a song make sure you sing it to him. If it's a poem, frame it and wrap it up.
5. Cook Something
I haven't met a man yet who doesn't like food, so it's a pretty safe bet that if you make him some food, he will love it. You can cook him his favorite meal or just a few of his favorite treats.
6. Personalized guitar pick
For the musical man in your life, it can be extremely difficult to find something he will use that will be in your price range. I suggest you get him a personalized guitar pick. You can order them online or get one engraved.
7. Memory Book
The ultimate gift would be a memory book. You can use photos of different things that are important to him, along with souvenirs, and remnants of things you've done together. You can use all sorts of stickers and embellishments to make it his own. This book can be similar to that of the "Adventure Book" on the Disney movie UP.

Christmas Gifts for Her

1. Journal
Give her a diary/journal. Embroider her name on it and ask her to record the memories from the next year. She can even give it back to you at the end of the year, so you can read it and see the life you shared together.
2. Scarf
A statement scarf is a great way to add a breath of fresh air to your winter ensemble. Get her favorite color or pattern. Make sure it is soft and warm, and she will think of you anytime she steps out into the bitter cold of winter. It will warm her up when you can't be there to do the job.

3. Initial Necklace
Jewelry is always a hard buy. It is either too expensive, rings don't fit or you don't want to construe the meaning behind it. Get her an initial necklace. This makes it personal. You can engrave her initial on a pendant and add a birthstone charm to it.
4. Cosy Cashmere
Cashmere is an elegant way to keep warm in the winter. Anytime she wears it, she can stay warm while thinking of you.
5. The Gift of Beauty
A beauty/relaxation retreat is something every girl deserves. You can purchase a gift card from Studio 1030 for that special girl in your life. A gift voucher for a pedicure, manicure, haircut, make-up application will never be ungratefully received.

Christmas Window Displays
This year's Christmas windows were especially fun, and I spent a lot of time conceptualizing them. The peppermint one turned out better than I was expecting! The use of reds and swirls were really fun. What do you think about it?
This one I like to call the Cinnamon Winter Wonderland one. The girl is surrounded by some soft lighting. We got some plastic branches from Hobby Lobby and spray painted them white and glittery. The reindeer and snowflakes were a fun addition. What do you think about it?
